Boudoir photography meaning: is it raunchy? Is it to come alive in front of a camera? Is it a sensual experience? Is it something to be shared, done alone or gifted to someone special? Or is it something else entirely?…
Having spent the last six years photographing women in my quiet Maitland studio, my answer to “what is boudoir photography?” is likely different to most photographers. Because I believe boudoir photography meaning lies in the experience.
What shapes a transformative boudoir experience lies in the before, during and after – giving women and feminine souls a feeling that transcends photos, poses and gift-worthy prints.
The Before

What if the sun kisses your skin and you throw your head back in delight? Not because you’re a supermodel – but because you chose to undress the old version of yourself, in favour of becoming YOU.
