Best Boudoir Lingerie and Outfits For Your Photoshoot [Updated 2026]
Boudoir photography is more than just a lingerie photoshoot or a lingerie nude photoshoot. There’s plenty of daring, creative and sultry outfit options that go beyond bodysuits, lacey thongs and bustiers – as long as what you're wearing makes YOU feel confident.
If you’ve devoured my other blogs on lingerie photoshoot outfits and are still feeling a little lost; here’s another four ideas to satiate your outfit planning.

4 Outfit alternatives for your lingerie nude photoshoot
Booking a lingerie photoshoot doesn’t mean you HAVE to wear lingerie – or that every outfit has to be lingerie for boudoir photos. As long as you feel hot; you’re going to look hot. Here’s some of my favourite outfit alternatives that can be mixed and matched for your boudoir photography session.
Vintage tees and cute crop tops
Distressed vintage tees, denim or leather jackets and even oversized shirts with edgy graphics bring personality to your boudoir photos. You can pair them with a basic black or white bra and panties or go fully nude and wear them as a standalone outfit. A well fitted crop top, thong and some fluffy socks is a super comfy option with plenty of tease-appeal.
Robes
Robes can do the job of what a matching lingerie set does – without worrying about fit or having straps dig in. They look right at home in bedroom boudoir photos and depending on whether you opt for opaque, sheer, lace or silk – can bring dark and sultry through to romantic and sensual vibes. Again, they can be worn alone or on top of your favourite lingerie pieces to create variety in your final gallery.
Cocktail dresses
Splurging on a well-fitted cocktail dress that hugs you in all the right places is also an option for boudoir. Exposing a shoulder, bending over and playing with camera angles can give you the sultry feel of a fully nude lingerie photoshoot, without having to actually undress.
Jewellery and accessories
Bracelets, necklaces, anklets, caps, hats and other pieces of jewellery and accessories create diversity in your photos without having to coordinate 3-4 completely different outfits. They’re a subtle way of highlighting parts of your body and personality and can be quickly put on or taken off as we move through different poses and rooms.

Traditional lingerie options for your lingerie photoshoot
Boudoir photography lingerie is the most common option for women when booking their experience. From corsets and bodysuits to matching three-pieces; there’s plenty of strappy, sheer and lace outfits available online and in-store throughout Maitland, the Hunter Valley and Newcastle..
Corsets
Corsets offer ample, strappy support and compliment any body shape. For a more cinched-in look, search for corsets with structured steel boning. On the day of your lingerie shoot, we’ll have plenty of time to lace you in!
Garter belts and lingerie three-pieces
Garter belts are usually paired with a bra and matching g-string, brief or cheeky panty. Three-pieces like this allow you to slowly undress throughout your photos – especially when paired with stockings/ stayups and your fave heels.
Bodysuits (One piece teddy)
Bodysuits and one-piece teddies are another fuller-coverage option (similar to a corset) for your lingerie photoshoot, but with more freedom. It also takes the guesswork out of buying a matching top and bottom set. Just be sure to take your torso length into account if you’re ordering online.
High waisted bottoms
High waisted bottoms (whether they’re full coverage, cheeky or a cute thong) are the perfect lingerie to slim and cinch your waist area, offer a little bit of tummy coverage and give your booty the spotlight.
Bustier
A bustier is a bra with an extended underbust panel that finishes at your last ribs (just above the smallest point of your waist). Offering moderate torso coverage, they come in padded, non-padded and push up options to highlight your cleavage without feeling completely on show.
Baby doll
Chemises (also known as a baby doll) are a flirty and fun choice for lingerie photography – particularly if you choose a neutral colour such as black or white, as they can be worn over your matching set for a layered lace look.
