General FAQs

  • Our Canvas & Curves parties are a twist on traditional paint and sip events. They’re designed to celebrate your divine femininity, surrounded by only your closest friends. You can host at home, or plan a party at one of our beautiful event partner locations.

  • Prior to the day, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a mini boudoir photoshoot and your favourite pic will be printed as a reference for painting. If time or travel makes a mini boudoir photoshoot too tricky, you can also opt to send in your favourite selfie ahead of time – we’ll print and keep them safe until the start of the party. 

    From there everyone will settle in and begin to paint under the guidance of professional artist, Emma Jenkins. Amidst the brush strokes, you can browse our private lingerie shopping experience, connect with your friends, sip and indulge in canapes (organised by you or our catering partner). 

  • We recommend enquiring at least 3 weeks in advance. In some instances we can accommodate a party on shorter notice but it will depend on how many people are attending the party, location (at home or with one of our Venue Partners), catering requirements, hosting requirements and so forth. 

  • No. Due to the nature of our Canvas & Curves parties, they are strictly 18+. So leave the littles with family or friends and take the evening to truly unwind and enjoy yourself! 

  • Our Canvas & Curves events are curated for women, non-binary folk or anyone who identifies with their feminine. If you’d like to organise a couples party or an event involving men, we recommend enquiring about a private in-home party and ensuring that everyone who attends is comfortable with the attendees and a degree of nudity. 

Party-related Questions 

  • Whatever makes you feel gorgeous! If you have a favourite pair of lingerie, wear it underneath for your mini boudoir photoshoot (after all, being totally nude is always optional). Just be mindful that painting can get a little messy when choosing your outfit!

  • Nudity is always completely optional, and it’s only required for the mini photoshoot part of the party. If you’re not comfortable getting naked, you can wear your favourite lingerie, or have Marie-Ann guide you through different semi-clothed poses. Everyone will remain clothed for the rest of the evening. 

  • We’re all about celebrating femininity while respecting your boundaries and comfortability. If you’re not comfortable having Marie-Ann take your picture and/or taking your own nudes for painting, you can select from three curated images. Think along the lines of a traditional paint & sip party, with the added benefit of choosing who attends and creating an intimate, uplifting atmosphere.

  • 3-4 hours depending on the size of your group.

  • Life is messy and imperfect – and so is painting! Emma, who is a professional artist, will be there to guide you through the process. She’ll touch on shadows, depth and how to bring your masterpiece to life.

  • Yes! You can organise your own alcohol and drinks for in-home parties. For parties hosted at one of our venue parties, alcohol will be available for purchase.

  • Again, you’re welcome to organise food yourselves (for both in-home and Venue Partner parties) or we can organise it for you through our catering partner. Charcuterie-style boards for 8 people are approximately $XY, however they can be tailored to exactly what you need – all you have to do is ask.

  • There are fridges, glassware, seating, tables and toilet facilities for use throughout your party.

  • Some groups prefer the comfort of their own home, while others prefer to step away and enjoy the sights, sounds and aura of one of our Venue Partners (think mountains, lodges, starry skies and quaint heritage buildings). If you’re worried about space, seating, organising your own drinks and/or clean-up, we recommend booking the party at one of our Venue Partners.

  • At minimum, you’ll need: 

    • Tables

    • Chairs and seating for your group 

    • Running water so we can wash up afterwards (please let us know if you have a septic tank – we can discard the water ourselves but need to know ahead of time) 

    • Cutlery, glassware, and drinks

    • DIY food if you don’t wish to organise catering through us. 

Bookings & Technical Questions

  • Our minimum requirement is 6 people, but we’re flexible. Contact us to discuss your unique situation.

  • Yes, with at least 2 weeks notice. Simply get in touch and we can work out a new date. 

  • All parties are secured with a non-refundable deposit. If you give us at least 2 weeks notice, we can shift the date of your party at no cost. However, cancellations are a forfeit of your deposit.

  • Yes we do! They’re a beautiful gift idea and sure to be an unforgettable experience. Please note that gift vouchers are not refundable. 

  • It depends on the type of party you decide on. 

    For traditional Canvas & Curves parties, there isn’t much to do beforehand. However, if time or travel makes an on-the-day mini boudoir photoshoot too tricky, you’ll need to send us your favourite nudes or selfie ahead of time. We’ll provide you with a digital resource that steps you through how to take your own spicy pictures that make you feel confident and excited to paint!

    We also offer the option to take part in a traditional paint & sip party (where you can select from three curated images) if you’re not comfortable having Marie-Ann take your picture and/or taking your own nudes.
